Stoke-on-Trent woman’s disability discrimination claim settled with Settlement Agreement

Mrs W was diagnosed with cancer after she commenced employment. She was subsequently made redundant whilst receiving treatment. She would have been entitled to bring a claim for Disability Discrimination, however after contacting Slee Blackwell Solicitors she entered into a Settlement Agreement. As a result of the settlement she was awarded redundancy pay despite the fact she had not been employed for 2 years which is the qualifying period for statutory redundancy pay.
